Eileen Doman has been called one of the most promising contemporary self-taught artists working in America. Her acrylic on canvas paintings exhibit a modern primitive style that brought Doman notable success nationally and internationally since emerging on the outsider art scene in the early 1990s. The artist challenges the viewer through works that are witty and emotional, often drawn from her family's heartland heritage, and which deliver an intuitive compositional edge that is unique.
