Levent Isik has become somewhat an urban legend in his own time -- or at least in his own community. Isik has achieved growing acceptance and recognition for his artwork which continues to charm, entertain, and excite Columbus and midwest regional collectors, spilling over to a larger national and international following. The artist's playful, intriguing, yet savvy approach to his various themes and subjects stirs our imagination, and appeals to the child in all of us. Though unconcerned with artistic labels and attempts to categorize his work as outsider, naive, or folk, Isik simply prefers to paint and make art for his own fulfillment. GoodArtGallery has been a long supporter of Isik's artistic talent, and is pleased to present works that are among his better offerings in recent years. Still affordable and a good buy, Isik's prices range from $500 to $2500. (*) The artist has also recently begun to produce some wonderful new works on paper for the first time. |
